Something looks off?

Start with a few simple checks. If the problem continues, send us a message.

Direction looks wrong

Move to an open space and keep the phone away from large metal objects or strong electronics, then try again.

Direction is approximate

The phone may temporarily have lower-confidence location or orientation data. Move a little and allow the sensors a moment to settle.

Camera or location does not work

Check Waypoint Lens permissions in Android settings. The app requests access when it is needed for the feature you are using.

The waypoint is off-screen

Turn in the indicated direction. When the waypoint enters the camera field of view, it will appear in the AR view.

AR opens in landscape

This is intentional in the current design. The Waypoint Lens camera experience is built for landscape orientation.

What to include

If possible, include the app version, phone model, Android version and a short description of what you were doing when the issue appeared.

Diagnostic data

Do not send waypoint names, coordinates or diagnostic files unless you intentionally choose to share them for a specific troubleshooting case. Diagnostic data is not automatically uploaded by the current app design.
